AC Repair, Indoor Air Quality
What does HVAC stand for?
The term HVAC is an abbreviation of the full name Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning. They are all essential parts of keeping a comfortable indoor air quality within your living space or building. If you would like to know more about how they work, what can go wrong with them and if there are people who specialize in hvac repair, then read on!
Heat The first part (and often most important) of any HVAC system is providing heat to the affected area. Without heat that area will quickly become cold and uncomfortable, and the many processes which we rely on for our existence will suffer. You can find out more about how HVAC systems provide heat here.
Ventilation The next part is ventilation – this sounds complicated but it's actually very simple. It simply involves ensuring that you have fresh air in your living area or building as people use up oxygen as they breathe which is important for indoor air quality. If you don't have a great deal of outside air coming into your home then this isn't so important, but if you have windows open to let some air flow around your living space then it becomes vital! This is what HVAC ventilation systems do.
Air Conditioning If you live in a particularly hot climate, like Columbia South Carolina, then air conditioning is vital. Without an HVAC air conditioning your home can become uncomfortably hot and this makes many things uncomfortable and is bad for indoor air quality. You may also want to relax in front of the TV at home without having sweat dripping down your face, so you'll need to install an AC system!
Indoor Air Quality
Do You Have Indoor Air Pollution?
Is your indoor air as fresh as you’d like? According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), indoor air pollution might the cause of “allergies” and your air may not be as clean as it looks. Tiny airborne particles, invisible to the eye but harmful to health, may be causing your indoor air to be more polluted than the air outside. Most of us spend the majority of our time indoors, so it makes sense to want indoor air that’s as healthy as possible with a quality HVAC system. View more info
